This album showcases the Cramps’ electrifying gig at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, in Santa Monica, CA, on 15 August 1980, during the Songs the Lord Taught Us Tour.

 

Featuring the band’s set in its entirety, included are fan favourites such as Goo Goo Muck, Human Fly, I Was a Teenage Werewolf, Garbageman, Domino, The Way I Walk and more.

 

The Cramps are credited as progenitors of the psychobilly subgenre. The band’s unique sound unites classic rockabilly, elements of punk rock, touches of psychedelia, and lyrical fare devoted mostly to monster movies and sleazy sex into an infectious, gloriously tasteless conglomeration of American trash culture.
