This release  collects on a single CD two pre-Christmas performances by Elton John taken from radio and television programs in the 1970s. The main course consists of 10 tracks recorded on December 24, 1974 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London and broadcast at the time on both BBC TV and BBC Radio 2 FM: the setlist includes not only classics by the English singer and pianist such as "Bennie And The Jets", "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", "Honky Cat", "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting", "Crocodile Rock", "The Bitch Is Back" and "Your Song" but also the Beatles-esque "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" and "I Saw Her Standing There" as well as a closing "White Christmas" performed together with Rod Stewart, special guest of a band that, alongside the faithful Nigel Olsson (drums), Dee Murray (bass), Davey Johnstone (guitar) and Ray Cooper (percussion), includes the Muscle Shoals Horns section composed of Harrison Calloway, Harvey Thompson, Charles Rose and Ronnie Eades. The bonus tracks recorded on December 18, 1974 1973 for a John Peel Top Gear Session and broadcast the following Christmas Day instead include a "Christmas Medley", a "Pub Medley", a "Dylan Medley" and a version of "Daniel" paired with "Your Song"
