Live at KROQ 106.7: Shrine Auditorium LA 12/12/1998 documents a unique and intimate performance from Depeche Mode during the 9th Annual KROQ "Almost Acoustic" Christmas show. The iconic synth-pop band delivered stripped-down acoustic versions of 'Sister of Night,' 'A Question of Lust' and 'Enjoy the Silence' with Martin Gore's vocals taking centre stage. Somewhat notably, 'A Question of Lust' had only been performed acoustically once before, and the gig highlight came when Billy Corgan joined on guitar and lead vocals for 'Never Let Me Down Again', adding his unique tones for a special crossover moment. Backstage, the energy was allegedly wild with Anton Corbijn, Ben Stiller, Hole and various industry figures mingling after an unforgettable set.
