Sadly, lead vocalist Andrew Wood wouldn't be around to enjoy the acknowledgements and accolades that Mother Love Bone have received since his untimely death, but we can be grateful for the existence of recordings such as this that offers a rare and precious opportunity to dig into the roots of the Seattle grunge rock story.
