Emerging from the vibrant American folk scene of the early 1960s, John Phillips, Michelle Phillips, Cass Elliot, and Denny Doherty came together to form The Mamas & The Papas, one of the most influential vocal groups of their era. Their unmistakable harmonies and West Coast sound defined a generation, producing timeless classics such as “California Dreamin’”, “Monday, Monday”, “I Saw Her Again”, “Dedicated to the One I Love”, and “Creeque Alley”.
After the group’s initial split in 1968, the members pursued solo careers, with Cass Elliot becoming a standout star through hits like “Make Your Own Kind of Music”and “It’s Getting Better" also included in this Collected release.
This Collected release celebrates the remarkable journey and enduring impact of The Mamas & The Papa, an essential chapter in the history of American pop and folk music.
Music On Vinyl proudly presents a special coloured edition of The Mamas & The Papas Collected album, which is available as a limited edition of 5.000 individually numbered copies on blue coloured vinyl and includes a booklet with liner notes.
