Michael Jackson's musical career began at the age of five performing with his brothers Tito, Jackie, Marlon and Jermaine. Having auditioned for Motown impresario Berry Gordy in 1968 the group then known as The Jackson 5 were signed to the Motown label where they stayed until 1976. Having teamed up with Quincy Jones Michael released his first solo album for Epic records titled "Off The Wall" in August 10th 1979 - this was the beginning of what was to become the Michael Jackson phenomenon.
