Renowned for their innovative and influential music, Fleetwood Mac was founded, in 1967, by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. Green named the band by combining the surnames of drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie, who remained with the band throughout its many line-up changes. In the 70's the band reached it's height with the melodic album "Rumours", that sold millions of copies all around the world. In that time, the band comprised of Stevie Nicks, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie and Lindsay Buckingham. In 1998 Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and to date they've sold over 120 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best selling bands in music history.
