This rare Beatles' Rubber Soul Sessions expanded edition revisits the mid-period Beatles classic with a two-CD set covering alternate mixes, outtakes and related tracks, going beyond the current stereo version to present the best available stereo mixes. It's only right, since the original Rubber Soul did carry some mix weirdness, having been hard-panned left and right, more as raw demonstration of the new technology rather than a sensitive handling of its capabilities.

 This release, however, also includes detailed liner notes and a booklet with background stories, session episodes and track details, also offering a comprehensive look at the making of Rubber Soul.
