Erasure - Chorus [LP] (import)
This is Erasure’s fifth record, a platinum synth-pop super-hit upon release in 1991. But the vinyl edition of Chorus has been out-of-print for most of the intervening years, having never been reissued… Until now! Mute have pressed up a new brace of 180g vinyl copies, presented with the original artwork and packaging.
• ‘Chorus’ is Erasure’s fifth studio album, released by Mute Records in 1991 and shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize in 1992. Not surprising when you consider how inventive it was, delivering four hit singles including the impossibly catchy ‘Chorus’ and the flamboyant live showstopper ‘Love To Hate You’.
• ‘Chorus’ proved that Erasure weren’t just a 1980s act - they threw themselves into the next decade with a record so accomplished and current that it became their third UK Number One album in a row, achieving Platinum status. It also charted in Germany, peaking at Number 13.
• ‘Chorus’ hasn’t been released on vinyl since its original incarnation in 1991.
• This release is part of Erasure’s 30th anniversary campaign and is pressed on 180gsm vinyl with original artwork and packaging.
